Electronics Design Group, Inc., an Electronic Systems Integrator (ESC) headquartered in Piscataway NJ, was the recipient of the prestigious national award for Best Home Theater/Media Room Project above $50,000 at the annual CEA (Consumer Electronics Association) Mark Of Excellence Awards ceremony at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. The Mark of Excellence Awards recognize some of the best residential and commercial custom installation projects performed by professional integrators, as well as top consumer technology products and services that are primarily targeted at the custom installation channel. The Award winners were determined by a panel of expert judges that included fellow Integrators. Submitted projects were awarded for innovation, creativity, and technological design.
Since inception, Electronics Design Group (EDG) has won a total of 71 national awards for its excellence in technical design and business acumen. No other ESC in the country has received accolades of this magnitude.
“EDG is among the finest technology integrators in our business and HTSA is extremely proud to have them as a member of our group. Their work speaks for itself in terms of quality, attention to detail and service levels that set today’s standards in customer satisfaction. I’ve known this team for over 25 years now and they continue to amaze me as to how unique and creative they are in deploying technology solutions for their customers” said Bob Hana, Managing Director of Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA).
The winning project Night Sky provides luxurious viewing experience with a Stewart CineCurve multi-aspect ratio screen that spans 11’ wide when watching films in widescreen cinema format, and 8’ wide when viewing sports or TV programming in 16:9. Sony’s 4K Ultra HD VPL-VW600ES video projector was installed to produce a bright and vivid high resolution image, with four times the detail of Full HD for a true cinematic experience. The Dolby ATMOS 7.1.2 system transforms the room with sound from all directions, fully captivating the listener with clarity, details, power and depth. The Totem Tribe V loudspeakers and corresponding Totem Subwoofers and Surround channels moves the sound around the listeners in a three-dimensional space, so you feel like you’re inside the action.
“Bob Gullo and his team at Electronics Design Group represent the pinnacle of Electronic System Integrators and have led the pack for many years,” said Frank Sterns, VP of AV Specialty and Custom Integration at Sony. “We are thrilled to see Bob and crew take the CEA Award for Best Home Theater utilizing a Sony 4K Ultra HD projector.”
